Man Robbed and Assaulted on Astoria Street: VIDEO

Suspect (NYPD) and 30-90 Steinway St. Google

The police have released video of an alleged thief who robbed a man of his cellphone and then grabbed the victim by the neck on Steinway Street last month.

The suspect allegedly got into the traffic dispute in front of 30-90 Steinway St. on Saturday, Aug. 1 at around 11:45 a.m. The thief then approached the victim’s vehicle and took the man’s iPhone10.

When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect grabbed him by the neck. The suspect then fled the vicinity in a white Chevrolet Camaro with the phone. The victim refused medical attention.

The police have released a photo and video of the incident.

Let me guess, parking dispute, guy starts recording, takes his phone and goes, or some other nonsense. Hey whichever precinct runs this area, you seriously need to patrol steinway and make people move! Every day buses, trucks, etc cannot pass because of double parking and chatting. It’s a hellhole, I hate Steinway and recently it attracts all sort of garbage like this person.
Word of caution, you can record people, keep your windows closed.

114th pct. good luck getting through to them, and when you do, getting a po dispatched 6 hours later only to say there was nothing going on when they got there…
