Police are searching for four men–believed to be part of a gang–who slashed three men as they waited for food outside an Elmhurst eatery Monday night.
The four perpetrators approached the victims – who were standing in front of Elmhurst Deli, located at 80-03 Broadway – and started assaulting them just after 10 p.m., according to police.
During the altercation, the three men suffered lacerations about the body before the attackers fled the scene southbound on Broadway, police said.
A 28-year-old man was slashed in the stomach and left arm while a second 28-year-old was stabbed in the head, according to police.
The third man in the group, a 26-year-old, was slashed in the left leg and the left wrist, police said.
All three men walked into Elmhurst Hospital – which is located on the next block – to be treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.
Police said that the incident was gang-related.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
