Suspect Wanted For Stealing $4,000 Worth of Cosmetics From Rite Aid in Astoria: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who stole thousands of dollars worth of cosmetics from an Astoria drug store earlier this month.

The suspect entered Rite Aid, located at 32-87 Steinway St., on Oct. 10 at around 9:50 a.m. and allegedly swiped around $4,000 worth of cosmetics from the store, according to police.

He then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

Police describe the assailant as a bald male with a medium complexion. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a “NASA” logo on the front, black sneakers and multi-colored pants.

Police released images of the suspect taken from inside the location.

For the second time in less than a week, a motorist was struck and killed after getting out of their vehicle where the Clearview Expressway merges with the Long Island Expressway in Bayside.
