The city’s sheriff’s office busted up a party in Rosedale early Sunday that was attended by more than 160 revelers.

Deputy Sheriffs turned up at the underground bar–inside a business called Event Center–just before 2:30 a.m. and watched multiple people entering the venue via a back door on Mayda Road between 241st and 243rd Streets.

The main door at the 145-12 243rd Street venue was blocked off by a metal roll-down gate, officials said.

Authorities found two unlicensed security guards by the rear door of the event space. The pair, identified as Sha-Mel Lamont Jones, 21, and Jason Hicks, 35, were both arrested.

Once inside deputies found 160 partygoers dancing, drinking and smoking hookah at a “dangerously close distance,” the sheriff’s office said.  A DJ was arrested for promoting the gathering, while a partygoer found with marijuana and a hatchet was also arrested.

The operators of the venue were fined $15,000 for violating COVID-19 rules and for operating an illegal club. The establishment was also found to have no Certificate of Occupancy on file with the NYC Department of Buildings.
