Woman Sexually Assaulted and Robbed at Gunpoint in Woodside: NYPD

A woman was sexually assaulted and robbed at gunpoint behind a rear yard in Woodside last week, according to police.

The victim, 36, was walking in the vicinity of 70th Street and Roosevelt Avenue at around 1:15 a.m. on Monday, March 15, when a man displayed a gun and led her to a house two blocks away.

The woman was taken to the rear yard at 41-47 70th St. where he sexually assaulted her. He then took $60 and her cellphone from her coat pocket and fled on foot, southbound on 70th St.

The victim left the scene and then reported the incident to police.

The suspect is described as either white or white-Hispanic, and is believed to be about 20- to 25-years-old. He was seen wearing a black jacket, light color pants and black sneakers.

A photo and video of the suspect were taken at a deli located at 68-30 Roosevelt Ave. about 20 minutes before the incident.
