Plans have been filed for an eight-story, 47-unit apartment complex to go in Douglaston.
The development, which would be built on a vacant lot at 44-14 Douglaston Parkway, would be approximately 84-feet tall and would include 21 enclosed parking spaces.
The owner is listed as Gandolfo Difiore, who operates under the business name of Manor North Properties LLC.
The property is located between Church Street and Northern Boulevard, and is near the Douglaston LIRR train station, which is serviced by the Port Washington line.
Frank J. Quatela Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Don’t forget that LIRR service to Penn Station with expand to include Grand Central Terminal when East Side Access service begins in December 2022. There is frequent service on the Q12 City Line bus running along Northern Blvd. This travels from the City Line to the Main Street Flushing subway station. Another option is the QM3 Express bus running rush hour to midtown Manhattan. The Nassau Inter County Express (NICE) N20G Bus also runs along Northern Blvd. It drops off people west bound traveling toward Flushing and picks up passenger east bound toward the Great Neck LIRR station. New residents could patronize stores along Douglaston Parkway and Northern Blvd. Parking is difficult for local residents. Some from outside the neighborhood who ride the LIRR park in the same vicinity. They want to park on local streets for free to save on the cost of using the private parking lot adjacent to the Douglaston LIRR station. Many households have more than one car. Twenty one indoor parking spaces to support 47 units may be insufficient. Why not give the developer an incentive to create more parking spaces by allowing him to add one additional floor of units?
I always enjoy walking around the Douglaston community around Little Neck bay for exercise and fresh air. It is a beautiful view, quiet neighborhood and friendly people who say hello. An oasis of suburbia in Northeast Queens
