U.S. Congressmember Thomas Suozzi, who represents northeast Queens and the north shore of Long Island, cut the ribbon on a new district office on Sunday.

The new office, located at 242-09 Northern Blvd., is in Douglaston—and is his only district office in Queens. He had a smaller office at 250-02 Northern Blvd. in Little Neck that recently closed.

“When I was elected to Congress, I made a promise that my staff and I would be as accessible as possible to the residents of Queens,” said Suozzi in an Instagram post. “This brand-new space in an easily accessible Northern Blvd. storefront furthers that commitment.”

Among the guests in attendance were Congressmember Gregory Meeks, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, New York State Senator John C. Liu and New York State Assembly members David Weprin and Clyde Vanel.

Suozzi, a Democrat serving his third term, represents New York’s third congressional district, which encompasses the Queens neighborhoods of Little Neck, Whitestone, Glen Oaks and Floral Park, plus the North Shore of Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The new office is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., by appointment.

Suozzi also has a district office in Huntington, Suffolk County.
