The police are looking for a man suspected of burglarizing three apartments in the Sunnyside-Woodside area earlier this month.

The suspect allegedly targeted ground floor apartments and gained entry by either pushing in the air conditioning unit or climbing through a window. He did so in broad daylight and took jewelry.

Police released photos of the suspect Saturday.

The first incident took place at around 10 a.m. on May 5, when the suspect broke into a 1st floor apartment located in the vicinity of 50th Avenue and 41st Street by pushing the air conditioning unit in. He then fled the building with jewelry.

The suspect allegedly targeted another first-floor apartment at around 8 a.m. on May 11. He gained entry to the apartment, located in the vicinity of 48th Avenue and 45th Street, by opening an unlocked window. Once inside, the suspect took a DVD player and laptop.

The man allegedly struck two hours later, at 10 a.m., when he pushed in an air conditioning unit to gain access to a 1st floor apartment located in the vicinity of 48th Avenue and 43rd Street. He then took jewelry and fled.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips.
