Knife-Wielding Man Follows Woman into Sunnyside Apartment Building and Steals Her Purse: NYPD

The police are looking for a knife-wielding man who followed a woman into her Sunnyside apartment building Saturday night and then robbed her.

The suspect allegedly followed the woman, 28, into her building—located in the vicinity of 43rd Avenue and 51st Street—at around 8:50 p.m. Saturday.

The man then pulled out a knife and demanded her property. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s purse that contained her wallet, cash and jewelry with an estimated value of $2,000.

The suspect then fled the location on foot. The woman was not injured.

Police have released photos of the suspect and video footage taken from the location of the robbery.
