Good Samaritan Gets Slashed at Court Square Station in LIC Thursday

A 37-year-old man who was coming to the aid of a woman who was being robbed inside of the Court Square station Thursday was slashed with a sharp object, police said.

The incident took place at around 7:30 a.m. when a woman snatched a female rider’s cellphone and then punched her in the face.

The Good Samaritan came to the victim’s assistance before a man who was accompanying the thief pulled out a sharp object and slashed him in his wrist.

The pair then fled the location.

The female victim did not seek medical treatment, while the man was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

Police released photos of the suspects.
