A 15-year-old student was attacked and knocked unconscious during a fight after school inside a Long Island City subway station Friday.

The incident, police said, took place at around 3 p.m. while the victim was waiting on the northbound E platform inside the Court Square subway station. The stop for the station is next to the Information Technology High School, located at 21-16 44th Rd., where the teen is a student, according to a report by NBC New York.

The victim was approached on the platform by an unidentified male and the pair then got into an argument. The dispute then turned violent, and the 15-year-old fell and struck his head during the brawl causing him to lose consciousness, police said.

During the incident, a larger group fight broke out between other young people at the station, according to NBC.

The teen was taken to Cornell Hospital in stable condition, police said. He later regained consciousness and is expected to survive, according to the NBC report.

It is unclear what sparked the initial dispute, or if the boy’s attacker is also a student at the school.

There are no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
