A new primary and urgent care facility for animals is set to open in Long Island City early next year.
Bond Vet, which has nearly 20 clinics in the Northeast, will open in spring 2023 on the ground floor of 47-01 Vernon Blvd – a new four-story mixed-use development.
The new veterinary practice will mark the company’s second location in Queens, following on from its 35-07 30th Ave. location that it opened in Astoria earlier this year. Bond Vet has eight locations in Manhattan and three in Brooklyn.
The company has undergone rapid growth since it was formed in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn in June 2019. It currently operates clinics across New York, Washington D.C. and Boston, with plans in place to open another four locations in Manhattan in the near future.
Bond Vet is taking a 4,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of the new building, which is situated on the corner of Vernon Boulevard and 47th Avenue.
The company offers primary care for pets such as routine exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter surgeries, and dental work. Its urgent care services include treatment for injuries such as bite wounds as well urinary changes, and toxin ingestion.

The company also has its own app where pet owners can book appointments, view medical records and message veterinarians.
Brooke Goldstein, senior brand marketing manager at Bond Vet, said the company believes that Long Island City is a good place to open, given its population growth and the large number of residents who own pets.
