Two women sought for allegedly stealing credit cards at a Forest Hills fitness club last month: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills are looking for two young women who allegedly rifled through members’ lockers at Planet Fitness on multiple occasions late last month, stealing credit cards later used to make illegal purchases.

The first incident occurred just after noon on Tuesday, Jan. 24, when the two suspects entered the Planet Fitness, located at 107-02 Queens Blvd., across the service road from McDonald Park, and swiped multiple credit cards, police said.

This was repeated by the same women on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 29, and again during the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 31.

There were no injuries reported after each of the incidents during the “grand larceny pattern,” according to the authorities.

The NYPD released surveillance video on Thursday that shows the suspects making purchases at Forest Hills businesses using the stolen credit cards. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or the 112th Precinct’s Detectives Squad at 718-520-9250.

A Hollis woman was indicted by a Queens grand jury on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and other related crimes for illegally occupying a single-family home in Howard Beach.

Laurel Bay, 49, of 198th Street, was arraigned Thursday in Queens Supreme Court on a five-count indictment for allegedly squatting in a house on 99th Street that had been vacant since 2012, with the homeowner managing the property from out of state.

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a suspect who weaponized a skateboard to bludgeon an E train rider last month.

The attack went down during the early morning hours of Monday, Sept. 16, as the 36-year-old victim was sitting on a southbound E approaching the Forest Hills–71st Avenue station at around 3 a.m. when a stranger approached. The intruder attempted to remove property from the victim’s pocket. The targeted rider began to record the older man with his cell phone. The stranger grabbed a skateboard from another rider and smashed the victim in his head, police said Tuesday.
