NYPD searching for group who assaulted, robbed a 67-year-old man in Far Rockaway

The NYPD are looking for a group of approximately 11 individuals who allegedly robbed a 67-year-old man the Beach 25 Street A train station at Rockaway Freeway and Beach 25th Street on Saturday, Feb. 11.

At approximately 9 p.m., the victim was exiting the station when he was approached by a group of unknown individuals, according to police. One of them struck the victim in the head with a blunt object, while the others stole his property consisting of his cellphone and wallet containing $400 and ID.

According to police, the group then fled on foot. EMS responded and transported the man to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital at South Shore in stable condition. He needed five stitches for the laceration on his head.

Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood are searching for a man who allegedly robbed an 88-year-old woman in Maspeth on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The senior was walking near the intersection of Brown Place and 58th Avenue, two blocks south of the Long Island Expressway near Frontera Park, at around 4:45 p.m. when the alleged perpetrator snuck up behind her and forcibly removed her pocketbook, police said Tuesday.
