Tuesday Morning Music Club to host free classical music concert in Douglaston

The Tuesday Morning Music Club will be holding a free classical music concert at the Community Church of Douglaston Feb. 28, when multiple artists will be on hand to entertain those in attendance.

Among those scheduled to perform at the 11 a.m. concert are Paul Morin and piano duo Madalina Danila and Hugh Sung. In addition to performing his own compositions, Morin will be playing the music of Frederick Chopin, Claude Debussy and Philip Glass. Danila and Sung will be playing the music of Mel Bonis, Moritz Moszkowski, Camille Saint-Saens, James Cohn and Aram Khatchaturian.

With admission for the event being free and open to the public, tickets will not be required. The venue, Douglaston Community Church, is located at 39-50 Douglaston Pkwy., Douglaston. According to the Tuesday Morning Music Club, those who wish to attend are required to provide a proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and must wear a mask.

The Tuesday Morning Music Club of Douglaston has worked to enhance the cultural life of its membership as well as the community by presenting the finest of musical works and performers to its audience of general members and guests. Founded in 1921, the club also provides scholarship assistance to talented and worthy student musicians. Guests are invited to become members and help continue this cultural tradition.
