Apr. 20, 2023 By Zachary Gewelb

Police from the 106th Precinct and 23rd Transit District are searching for the two crooks who assaulted a woman at the 88th Street subway station in Ozone Park earlier this month.

Police say a 31-year-old woman was on board a northbound A train around 3 p.m. on April 10 when she became engaged in a dispute with an unknown man and woman. A police spokesperson said the cause of the dispute is unknown at this time.

The two crooks proceeded to punch and kick the victim multiple times before a good Samaritan intervened and pushed them off the woman, police said. The woman suffered pain and swelling to her body as a result of the assault.

The crooks remained on the platform before boarding a northbound A train, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects on April 20.
