Man sought for groping woman near Baisley Pond Park in Springfield Gardens: NYPD

Police from the 113th Precinct in Jamaica are looking for a suspect who allegedly groped a woman in broad daylight near Baisley Pond Park during the 4th of July long weekend.

The 40-year-old victim was walking in the vicinity of Lakeview Lane and Baisley Boulevard in Springfield Gardens just before noon on Monday, July 5 when she was approached by the man.

He proceeded to show her some photographs before grabbing her breast and genital area over her clothing before running off eastbound on Baisley Boulevard towards the Rochdale Village Shopping Center, police said. The victim did not suffer physical injuries during the “forcible touching” incident.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect that shows him walking near Baisley Pond Park and described him as having a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored striped polo shirt, dark shorts and dark sneakers.
