Crime scene investigators are working to determine how a woman was killed in her South Jamaica Houses apartment building early Monday morning.

Police from the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica and Public Service Area 9 in Flushing responded to a 911 call just after 1 a.m. on July 31 after the woman was found dead inside her unit at 108-41 159th St.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered the 62-year-old woman unconscious inside the apartment. EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

An NYPD spokeswoman could not confirm reports that the victim was strangled to death, saying only that the city’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the woman’s death.
