Police in Queens continue to search for the hit-and-run driver who crashed his car into a police vehicle over the weekend, leaving two cops hospitalized.
According to police sources, two cops from the 109th Precinct were driving a squad car along 32nd Avenue and College Point Boulevard in Flushing at approximately 12:16 a.m. on Nov. 5, when a black four-door sedan traveling southbound on College Point Boulevard ran several red lights.
Seconds later the sedan careened into the front of the police vehicle, sending it crashing into a pole. While the patrol car was completely totaled, the out-of-control driver managed to back up and speed away westbound on Northern Boulevard.

Sources familiar with the incident reported that one male officer inside the crumpled cruiser suffered injuries to his head and arm while the other male cop took a blow to the head and leg.
EMS rushed the pair to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in serious but stable condition. The cops have since been discharged.
Police have released surveillance footage of the Sedan hoping the public might be able to recognize the vehicle and bring the driver to justice. Authorities describe the sedan as having tinted windows and possibly being a Honda Civic bearing a Texas license plate.
