Creep sought for allegedly flashing a teenage girl, performing lewd act on subway in LIC: NYPD

Police from the 108th Precinct in Long Island City and Transit District 20 are looking for a sexual deviant who allegedly exposed himself to a 17-year-old victim as she rode aboard a northbound R train on the morning of Sunday, July 14.

As the train was pulling into the Queens Plaza subway station at 7:30 a.m. the young woman noticed the perpetrator staring at her while performing a lewd act, police said. The creep took off in an unknown direction inside the Queens Plaza station and there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

The NYPD released surveillance images that showed the suspect walking through the station and described him as having a light complexion. He wore a black T-shirt, black shorts, a black baseball cap and black sneakers and black socks. He also wore a black backpack with red traces on the shoulder strap.

All calls and messages are kept confidential.

Through July 14, the 108th Precinct has reported 38 sex crimes so far in 2024, 14 fewer than the 52 reported at the same point last year, a decline of 26.9%, according to the most recent CompStat report. Transit crimes are also down in the precinct with 29 reported so far this year, 23 fewer than the 52 reported at the same point in 2023, a decrease of 44.2%, according to CompStat.
