Astoria Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint Thursday: NYPD

Police are looking for a duo who robbed a gas station in Astoria at gunpoint last night.

Two men entered a Mobil gas station along 21st St., just before 9 p.m. brandishing a black firearm. The pair demanded money from a 65-year-old employee as they went behind the sales counter.

The men opened the register, grabbed $450 in cash, as well as the employee’s cell phone and fled, police said. They ran southbound on 21st Street.

One suspect is described as bald and having an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a black surgical mask, a yellow T-shirt with an American flag on the front, red shorts and black sneakers.

The second individual is described as having short dark hair and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black surgical mask, a black t-shirt with the words “Black Lives Matter” on the front, dark shorts and black and white sneakers.
