Mar. 6, 2024 By Ethan Marshall The number of felony assaults across Queens increased during the 28-day period from Feb. 2 through Mar. 3, compared to the same period of time last year, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD Monday. At the same time, vehicle thefts decreased throughout the borough. Over the course of the 28-day period, felony assaults in northern Queens rose 11.2%, from 197 in 2023 to 219 in 2024.
