85-year-old Maspeth man is missing, cops seek help finding him

Dec. 26, 2023 By Christian Murray Police are looking to find an 85-year-old man who was last seen at his Maspeth home last week. Wesley Daniels, described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds, was last seen at his home located in the vicinity of 59th Place and 60th Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 23. Wesley was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and blue sneakers. Police have released a photo of the octogenarian. Several mental health bills to support veterans passed by City Council

Dec. 26, 2023 By Iryna Shkurhan Several pieces of legislation geared towards supporting veterans—two of which were introduced by Queens city council members—were passed by the council last week.  The Council put forward the Mental Health Roadmap in April as part of an effort to expand prevention and support services to those in need of mental health resources. The exhibit is meant to put an emphasis on the sense of community, strength and resilience people have inherited from their ancestors.
