Teen gunman sought for fatal shooting in St. Albans that killed a passing motorist, injured a pedestrian: NYPD

A masked teenager is being sought for allegedly bringing a gun to an afterschool melee in St. Albans and using it to send nearly a dozen youngsters running for their lives while setting off a tragic chain of events on Monday afternoon in which a Cambria Heights man was killed and a woman was critically injured.

Homicide detectives out of the 113th Precinct have identified a suspect who is being sought for firing a half-dozen shots at an alleyway of a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at 117-13 Farmers Blvd. just before 5 p.m.

MTA officials outline transportation plans for Queens and beyond at Jamaica roundtable discussion

MTA officials held a roundtable discussion in the Jamaica Central Control Building on Thursday, Sept. 12, to provide an overview of the agency’s current and future plans for its extensive transportation system. The officials invited reporters from a handful of local media organizations to the event, including QNS, which was an on-the-record presentation and Q&A session covering topics affecting Queens residents and commuters across the five boroughs.
