The swimming facility opened an 8,000-square-foot location at Tangram with a 75-foot, three-lane pool and viewing area for parents.

Goldfish Swim School, an official partner of the USA Swimming Foundation, teaches over 130,000 kids weekly across the country, from infants to 12-year-olds. The facility offers guided play and a safe environment for children to learn how to swim and gain critical life skills from specially trained instructors.

Robert Wineman, partner in BHB Group, the owner of Goldfish Swim School Flushing at Tangram, said that he couldn’t be more excited to bring Goldfish’s state-of-the-art swim facility and high-quality instruction to Queens.

“In line with the company’s core values educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect water, Tangram is the ideal development to raise a family with recreational activities at their fingertips in Downtown Flushing,” Wineman said.

Goldfish Swim School can host up to 3,000 children and their parents each week at the Tangram pool each week, offering swimming lessons for the family.

After working up an appetite in the pool, families can enjoy the snack bar with many sweet and savory options to choose from.

Goldfish Swim School Tangram location also includes a special party package with invitations, two hours of private access to the facility, certified lifeguards, cupcakes and beverages, balloons, decorations and more.

Helen Lee, executive vice president of F&T Group, which is developing Tangram with SCG America, said the addition of Goldfish Swim School is just another excellent space, adding to the experience offered at Tangram.

“Tangram continues to exemplify this with the addition of experienced-based retailers such as Goldfish Swim School,” Lee said. “The addition of Goldfish Swim School signifies the seamless lifestyle we are offering here and is the perfect daytime and weekend junior tenant for Tangram.”

The Goldfish Swim School was founded by husband and wife Chris and Jenny McCuiston in Birmingham, Michigan in 2006 and opened its first franchise location in 2009.

The brand was recognized by Entrepreneur in its Franchise 500® ranking, Franchise Times’ 2020 Fast & Serious List, and Inc. Magazine’s 2019 Top 5000. Goldfish Swim School is currently in the process of expanding throughout North America, with more than 100 schools open and over 100 facilities in development in more than 34 states and Canada.
