Nov. 2, 2023 By Iryna Shkurhan

The wait is almost over. A Trader Joe’s store will be opening its doors to the Forest Hills community next week on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The new 17,000 square-foot store will be located at 69-65 Yellowstone Blvd., just a block away from Austin Street. The interior artwork will feature the rich comic book history of Forest Hills.

Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, the store will officially open for business at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. There will also be giveaways for the first 100 customers.

Currently there are two other Trader Joe’s locations in Queens – at 9030 Metropolitan Ave. in Rego Park and at 22-43 Jackson Ave. in Long Island City.

Hiring efforts for the new location are currently underway, with a focus on hiring locally within the community. Anyone interested in applying for a position can visit traderjoes.com/careers for more information. Crew members at this location will be paid $18- $20 per hour.

As part of Trader Joe’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new location will donate 100% of their unsold, but fit to enjoy, products to a range of non-profit and community-centered organizations each day of the week.

Regular store hours will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
