As the days grow cooler, Queens continues to offer a variety of activities to consider for your weekend plans. Gather your family and friends for a mix of performances, comedy shows, a basketball clinic and a museum visit, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Friday, Nov. 10

Museum of The Moving Image

Join the Museum of The Moving Image, the museum dedicated to encompassing and presenting all forms of moving images, such as art, technique, technology and history, for their “Free Admission Fridays.” All ages are welcome to view the diverse artistic displays that are sure to capture everyone’s attention. (Museum of The Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria. 3 to 7 p.m. Admission: Free)

Veteran’s Day Basketball Clinic

All campers from grades 3-8 are invited to this drop-off basketball training event, where coaches are waiting and prepared to provide vital techniques for playing the game and give them a day filled with engaging drills, exercises and scrimmages. (Rolling River Day Camp, 447 Ocean Ave., East Rockaway. 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission: $32.52 fees included)

Saturday, Nov. 11

“This or That” The Game Show

Join the Agenda for an evening of performances, featuring Q Brooks and a comedy show headlined by Cuzn Corn. The event will be hosted by Chris Jordan and there will be a prize giveaway, with the top prize being a brand-new Apple iPad. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as happy hour starts when the doors open at 4 p.m. Table packages are also available for those who want to reserve seating for the event. Brandee Younger

Having carved out a distinct niche in both traditional and non-traditional harp scenes, this young harpist is a versatile artist known for defying genres and labels. Brandee Younger is the first Grammy-nominated Black female solo artist for her song “Beautiful in Black.” (Kupferberg Center for the Arts, 153-49 Reeves Ave., Flushing. 8 to 9:30 p.m. Admission: $30)

Sunday, Nov. 12

The Gingerbread Players present “Candida” by George Bernard Shaw

Directed by Bill Logan and featuring cast members Farah Diaz-Tello, Andrew Dinan, Joey Mignone, Mike Miller, Lauren Snyder and David Ezra Stein, this group will be bringing George Bernard Shaw’s classic comedy to the stage. Performances will be available on Nov. 11 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 12 and 19 at 2:30 p.m. A donation of $12 or $15 for groups over six is encouraged. Leap Of Faith: Improvised Stand-Up Comedy

See some of New York’s top comedians as they perform entirely improvised stand-up sets that will be based on comments and prompts from audience members. The lineup includes John Rosenberger, Carolyn Castiglia, Adam Malev, Josue Reveles, Tristan Miller, Mel Guevara and Alexandria Love. Man found stabbed to death at a Queens Village psychiatric facility Monday morning: NYPD

A 63-year-old man staying at a state-run psychiatric facility in Queens Village was found dead lying in a pool of blood Monday morning.

Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village responded to a 911 call at 10:36 a.m. about a man in need of medical attention at the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities at 80-45 Winchester Blvd. Officers found the victim lying face down in a pool of blood, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds to the back of his neck and lower back, according to a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation. He was found by a fellow patient.

‘It’s just a hobby’: Queens Village man tells cops during arrest for assembling ghost guns at his Hillside Avenue home: DA

A mechanic at LaGuardia Airport was arrested and criminally charged with weapons possession and other related crimes after a cache of ghost guns and the accouterments needed to assemble the illegal firearms, were found at his Queens Village home after law enforcement executed a court-ordered search warrant on Jan. 15.

Jonathan Diaz, 37, of Hillside Avenue, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court a day after he was taken into custody after the multi-agency search of his premises, Queens District Attorney General Melinda Katz announced on Friday.
