Queens Community Board 5 set to host monthly meeting in Middle Village

Queens Community Board 5 (CB 5) will host its last monthly meeting for 2023 inside the Christ the King High School in Middle Village on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

The meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. at at 68-02 Metropolitan Ave.

The public forum portion of the night will be held at the top of the meeting. Anyone wanting to speak to the board during the public forum portion of the night is asked to pre-register. To register to speak in advance of the meeting, please call CB 5 at 718-366-1834 or email at qn05@cb.nyc.gov.

After the public forum, the CB 5 Chair Vincent Arcuri Jr. will give his report, which includes a reading of the minutes from November’s board meeting, a review of applications for the sale of alcoholic beverages and cannabis and a review of building demolition notices. 

Following the chairperson’s report will be a report given by District Manager Gary Giordano. 

Also on the agenda, reports from the Liquor License and Cannabis Committee, Zoning and Land Use Review Committee, Public Safety Services Committee, Transportation Services Committee and Public Transit Services will be heard. 

The Liquor License and Cannabis Committee report will share its recommendations regarding proposed alcoholic beverage licenses and proposed adult-use retail cannabis dispensaries. The Zoning and Land Use Committee report will revisit the City of Yes initiative and share its findings. 

Old and new business items will be discussed at the end of the meeting.
