Two men sought in series of spa robberies, sexual assaults across Queens

The NYPD is looking for two violent men who have targeted four spas across three Queens police precincts in the last week-and-a-half, leaving several spa workers injured in assaults and one man critically injured after he was shot, according to authorities.

Nov. 15, 2023 By Ethan Marshall Felony assaults have increased throughout Queens year-to-date, compared to the same period in 2022, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD. At the same time, grand larceny has been on the decline. Felony assaults were up 16.5% in northern Queens for the year through Nov. 12, rising from 2,184 in 2022 to 2,544 in 2023.  In southern Queens, felony assaults rose 5.8% for the year through Nov. 12, from 2,354 to 2,490. Two men sought in armed robbery at South Ozone Park T-Mobile store: NYPD

Nov. 3, 2023 By Bill Parry A T-Mobile store located near the Van Wyck Expressway in South Ozone Park was robbed at gunpoint in October and police from the 106th Precinct are still searching for two men who allegedly pulled off the heist. Police reported that, at around 6:20 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, a 23-year-old man was working in the corner storefront at 134-11 Rockaway Blvd. when two unidentified men entered the shop. Crunching the Queens crime stats: Rape cases rising, grand larceny continues downward trend

Oct. 18, 2023 By Ethan Marshall The NYPD released the crime stats for northern and southern Queens from Sept. 17 to Oct. 15. While much of it follows a similar trend to last week’s stats, there are some notable changes in trends. Rape cases in northern Queens rose from 15 to 20 year-over-year.
