Crunching the Queens crime numbers: robberies and felony assaults on the rise

Jan. 17, 2024 By Ethan Marshall The amount of reported cases of robberies and felony assaults across Queens have each risen over the last month compared to the same period of time a year ago, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD Monday. During the 28-day period from Dec. 18 to Jan. 14, reported robberies have increased 51.3% in northern Queens, from 117 cases the previous year to 177 this year.
