Jessica Ramos Wednesday evening to provide encouragement—or disapproval—of the proposed casino plan by Citi Field or the alternative Phoenix Meadows proposal. Forest Hills e-scooter shop temporarily closed after being found to be manufacturing illegal ‘Frankenstein’ lithium-ion batteries: FDNY

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh was in Forest Hills Thursday morning to announce that an e-scooter shop on Queens Boulevard had been temporarily shut down after being found to be not just selling illegal lithium-ion batteries but manufacturing them as well in a storefront directly above a subway station.

Replacing Santos will either be former Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-Glen Cove) or Nassau County Legislator Mazi Melesa Pilip (R-Great Neck).
