Renowned German eatery in Glendale, Zum Stammtisch, joins New York State’s Historical Business Registry

Feb. 5, 2024 By Anthony Medina The iconic Zum Stammtisch, an authentic German restaurant and pub, located at 69-46 Myrtle Ave, in Glendale, has been officially recognized as part of the New York State Historical Business Registry.  The New York State HB registry, a program run by the State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, highlights businesses that have been in operation for at least 50 years and have contributed to their community’s history. Glendale Kiwanis Club rings in holiday season at annual tree lighting event

Dec. 5, 2023 By Anthony Medina The Kiwanis Club of Glendale kicked off the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting at the Glendale Veterans Triangle on Sunday, Dec. 3.  Despite the rain at this year’s tree lighting event, members of the Glendale Kiwanis Club made sure parents and children were still able to enjoy the night’s festivities on the corner of Myrtle and Cooper avenues.
