Police officers responded to a 911 call at 8:30 a.m. regarding an unconscious teen. The responding officers and EMS found the 17-year-old not breathing and unresponsive upon arrival. Officials declared him dead on the scene and began carrying out an investigation into the cause of his death, which is currently underway. Officers seized a “tremendous amount” of flavored nicotine vapes, which are illegal in the state, as well as cannabis products such as edibles and joints that cannot be sold without a state license.
