Sep. 19, 2023 By Anthony Medina The Middle Village Players Roller Hockey League’s second series of games at the start of the season kicked off with a couple of thrilling matchups on Saturday, Sept. 16.  In a nail-biting game between the Hawks and the Jets, the Hawks secured a hard-earned victory 9-7. Mason (No. 21) and Jake (No. 11) of the Hawks delivered outstanding performances, each scoring three goals during the game. Sep. 18, 2023 By Iryna Shkurhan A new Dunkin’ Donuts opened its doors in Bayside on Sept. 14 – and will soon feature the borough’s first Jimmy John’s as well.  Previously there was a Bean Square coffee shop on the corner spot on Northern Boulevard and 211th Street. Unlike the international coffee giant, the shop was independent and roasted their own beans daily on site. Police searching for suspects who broke into Middle Village pharmacy last month

Sep. 18, 2023 By Anthony Medina Police are searching for two unidentified suspects who broke into a pharmacy in Middle Village last month.  Police from the 104th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a burglary at Colombo’s Pharmacy, located at 75-51 Metropolitan Ave., at approximately 3:50 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31. Police say two unidentified perpetrators forced their way inside the pharmacy by breaking the lock to the front gate.
