Street resurfacing expected to sweep parts of Glendale, Maspeth, Middle Village and Ridgewood next week

Sep. 8, 2023 By Anthony Medina Street repairs in the neighborhoods of Glendale, Maspeth, Middle Village and Ridgewood will begin this month both in the day and night time hours, according to Queens Community Board 5 (CB5). CB 5 shared the Department of Transportation’s notification of day and night resurfacing in the district, with milling and paving during the night expected to begin as early as Monday, Sept. 11, and day work starting sometime around Thursday, Sept. 14. Two dead after apparent murder-suicide shooting in Ozone Park: NYPD

Sep. 7, 2023 By Dean Moses Two people were shot to death in what sources say appears to be an attempted murder-suicide in broad daylight in Ozone Park Thursday evening. According to police, NYPD officers rushed to Drew Street and 101st Avenue, within the confines of the 102nd Precinct, at around 5:40 p.m. on Sept. 7. Upon their arrival, responding officers discovered a shocking, gruesome scene. Police sources report that a 42-year-old woman and 46-year-man were discovered each with gunshot wounds to their heads, causing a bloody mess.
