17-Year-old Mugged By Four Men in Jackson Heights: NYPD

A 17-year-old was robbed by a group of four men in Jackson Heights last week and three of the suspects are still at large, police said.

The teen was walking in front of a house on 91st Street at around 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 17 when the group approached him, grabbed him by the shirt, and demanded that he hand over his personal belongings, the NYPD said.

The assailants then allegedly took the victim’s Apple iPhone, Apple Air pods and Air Jordan One sneakers.

The group then fled the scene on foot northbound toward 35th Avenue, police said.

One of the four alleged perpetrators has since been arrested after police were able to successfully track down the victim’s phone to a Wendy’s restaurant in Woodside, located at 69-02 Northern Blvd.

Police found 28-year-old Julian Perez in possession of the phone inside the eatery and cuffed him.

Perez, who is from the Bronx, has been charged with two counts of robbery and criminal possession of stolen property.

Police are still looking for the three remaining suspects, all of whom have thin builds, the NYPD said.

The first suspect is described as having a beard, long dark hair in a ponytail and a large tattoo on his right hand. Police released video of the suspect where he can be seen wearing a black hoody, black sweatpants, a black cross-body bag, a black baseball cap and black sneakers.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hoody, grey sweatpants, white socks and black sandals.Meanwhile, the third suspect, who has an Afro, was last seen wearing blue shorts, a black hoody along with white and blue-colored sneakers.
