25-Year-Old Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Sunnyside Monday

A 25-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Sunnyside on Monday.

Daniel Hernandez, of Ridgewood, was riding a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Laurel Hill Boulevard when he lost control and struck a pillar by Calvary Cemetery around 9 p.m., police said. A preliminary investigation indicated that Hernandez was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Arriving officers found Hernandez lying on the roadway in front of 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd. with trauma about the body. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene of the crash.

This should NOT BE A SURPRISE THIS LOCATION HAS BEEN THE SITE of HAZARDOUS MOTORCYCLE RIDING for YEARS they need to install SPEEDBUMPS every 50YARDS so it’s IMPRACTICAL TO SPEED/POP WHEELIES
