72-Year-Old Man Dies Nearly Three Weeks After Being Shot in His Springfield Gardens Home

A 72-year-old man who was shot in his Springfield Gardens home earlier this month has succumbed to has injuries, police said.

Gladstone Barnett died Tuesday after being gunned down inside his 146-28 Guy R Brewer Blvd. home at around 3:10 p.m. on April 1.

Police were called to his home at the time and found him with gunshot wounds to the chest and right hand. EMS responded and transported Barnett to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he died.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
