The police are looking for a man who assaulted a traffic agent in Astoria earlier this month—after being upset that he had been issued with a summons.

Police said the traffic agent, a 36-year-old woman, was writing the man a summons for double parking in front of GameStop at 31-58 Steinway St., when the enraged suspect came out of the video game store and confronted her at around 3 p.m. Oct. 14. The man then threw an aluminum bottle of soda at her.

The bottle hit the traffic agent’s elbow causing pain and swelling. The suspect got into his black Honda, with a New Jersey plate number of 770852R, and drove off.

The traffic agent declined medical attention on the scene.

The suspect is described as being around 18 to 20 years of age, thin building, black short hair and was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit and carrying a book bag.

The police have released video of the suspect taken at GameStop.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Double parking is illegal anyway, but if the cop hit the guy, I guess then black lives would matter huh? If you don’t want to get a ticket, don’t park illegally. Although in my neighborhood people park daily in front of fire hydrants and don’t get parking tickets.

Ridgewood mother and daughter arrested for attacking woman over parking spot: NYPD

A Ridgewood mother and daughter were arrested Monday after they ambushed a young Black woman who tried to park her car in a spot in front of their apartment building that they frequently cordon off with garbage cans and traffic cones.

A family friend was standing at the northeast corner of Onderdonk Avenue and Putnam Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. when the 21-year-old Jada McPherson tried to park her car in the spot. The man placed a garbage can in her way. She drove off and circled the block multiple times. She tried to pull into the same spot one more time, but the man tried to stop her again. McPherson got out of her car to confront him, and an argument ensued.
