Man Wanted for Exposing Himself on Two Occasions at Astoria Boulevard Train Station

NYC Parks recently began removing abandoned boats from the waters off City Island in the Bronx under the auspices of its new Office of Marine Debris Removal and Vessel Surrendering, which opened in Brooklyn on Apr. 15.

The new headquarters is at Kingsborough Community College in Manhattan Beach, across Jamaica Bay in the Rockaways. This location was chosen following legislation spearheaded by Council Member Joann Ariola, who, after discussions with local community leaders, recognized their longstanding frustrations with bureaucratic obstacles in removing derelict vessels from the bay.

As hate crimes continue to surge locally and nationwide, Mayor Eric Adams announced Tuesday a new curriculum designed to teach public school students all about bias incidents in NYC and beyond. 

Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for three burglars who broke into homes in Malba and Murray Hill in March, making off with cash and property.

In the first incident, two of the suspects struck during the afternoon of Thursday, Mar. 7, breaking through the front door of a private residence in the vicinity of 144th Street and 15th Road near the GU Harvey Playground alongside the Whitestone Expressway at around 2 p.m. Once inside, the two men stole $12,000 worth of cash, jewelry and other personal items before running off through the front door in an unknown direction.
