Suspect Wanted For Stealing Package From Forest Hills Apartment Building: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who broke into an apartment building in Forest Hills last week and stole a package from a mail area.

The suspect gained entry by picking the lock of the outer door of the building, located in the vicinity of 67th Road and Booth Street, on Oct. 26 at around 3:45 a.m., according to police.

When inside, the assailant walked over to the mail area and picked the lock of a large mailbox that contained packages for residents of the building, police said.

The suspect then allegedly took a package belonging to a 39-year-old woman, police said.

He then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction on foot. It is unclear what was inside the package.

Police on Thursday released video and images of the perpetrator during the incident. The suspect has black hair and a beard. He can be seen wearing a gray-colored coat, gray jeans and black Nike sneakers.

Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood are searching for a man who allegedly robbed an 88-year-old woman in Maspeth on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The senior was walking near the intersection of Brown Place and 58th Avenue, two blocks south of the Long Island Expressway near Frontera Park, at around 4:45 p.m. when the alleged perpetrator snuck up behind her and forcibly removed her pocketbook, police said Tuesday.
