Police are looking for a man who broke into an apartment building in Forest Hills last week and stole a package from a mail area.

The suspect gained entry by picking the lock of the outer door of the building, located in the vicinity of 67th Road and Booth Street, on Oct. 26 at around 3:45 a.m., according to police.

When inside, the assailant walked over to the mail area and picked the lock of a large mailbox that contained packages for residents of the building, police said.

The suspect then allegedly took a package belonging to a 39-year-old woman, police said.

He then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction on foot. It is unclear what was inside the package.
