Three teenage boys were robbed by two strangers in broad daylight near Corona Plaza on Sunday afternoon.
Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights reported that two unknown individuals were in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue at 103rd Street at 4 p.m. when one of the assailants pulled out a sharp object and demanded property from a 13-year-old and two 12-year-old boys.
The crooks snatched two cell phones from the youngsters and fled the location in an unknown direction, police said.
The three boys were not injured during the robbery.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the two suspects on Monday that shows them passing through the turnstile at the 103rd Street 7 train station. One suspect had a light complexion and a slim build and was wearing a white jacket, blue pants, a silver crucifix hanging from a chain around his neck and a black du-rag. His accomplice also had a light complexion and a slim build and was wearing a white and dark-colored jacket, blue pants and a black Nike head covering.

Through June 2, the 115th Precinct has reported 157 robberies so far in 2024, 40 more than the 117 reported at the same point last year, an increase of 34.2%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
