The primary and specialty care provider AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) opened a new medical facility in Jackson Heights Wednesday.

The company has moved into an 18,000 square foot space inside a new development at 40-31 82nd St. The center has 32 rooms including three laboratory rooms.

ACPNY operates more than 40 medical offices across the five boroughs and Long Island. The Jackson Heights location is the company’s ninth facility in Queens.

The Jackson Heights center will offer a range of medical services including pediatric care, endocrinology as well as surgeries for reproductive health. Other services include optometry, podiatry, rheumatology and mental health.

There are 25 doctors working at the facility including obstetricians and gynecologists.

The company said its new location looks to address a lack of health care services in the Jackson Heights neighborhood.

“At ACPNY, we know that accessible and quality care is both life-affirming and life-saving,” said Dr. Navarra Rodriguez, President and Chief Medical Officer at ACPNY.

“That’s why we are so excited to provide a new home for health where the people of Jackson Heights both live and work.”

The facility is open on Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends

ACPNY has co-located at the development with the non-profit insurance provider EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care (EHNC) which is operating out of a separate 5,000 square foot space.

EmblemHealth, which is the parent of ACPNY and EHNC, has spent around $7 million furnishing both spaces, according to a company spokesperson.

EHNC will provide support services to residents in need to help them access public resources to food and housing. It will also offer free health and wellness classes at the facility.
