Oct. 11, 2023 By Bill Parry A teenage motorcycle rider was killed in East Elmhurst on Tuesday night when he crashed into an MTA Q49 bus at the intersection of Astoria Boulevard and 101st Street, according to the NYPD. With 167 foreclosures in the borough, only the first quarter of 2023 saw a larger amount in Queens, with 171. Compared to the third quarter of 2022, Queens experienced a 11% year-over-year increase. There were 17 additional first-time filings that occurred. Compared to the 148 foreclosures in the previous quarter, there was a 13% increase.
