Hundreds of students and staff were evacuated from a school building in Long Island City Tuesday morning following a bomb threat that proved to be a false alarm.

The bomb threat, police said, was made at around 10:30 a.m. against the Q404 Hunters Point campus building, located at 1-50 51st Ave. The building houses the Hunters Point Community Middle School, the Academy for TV and Film, and the Riverview High School.

An individual called the front desk and said there was a bomb in the building, according to police.

The entire building was then evaluated. A video uploaded to Citizen shows students leaving the school by walking across Center Boulevard to Hunters Point South Park while an alarm can be heard going off in the background. The students are laughing and joking in the video.

Police said that no device was found, and students and staff have now returned to the building.

The Q404 Hunters Point campus building is instantly recognizable for a massive mural painted on the side of the building. The mural features a giant heron a cormorant and a glowing sunset.
