The city will host a free concert at Forest Hills Stadium next month as part of a series of concerts celebrating New York City’s comeback from the pandemic.

The concert is one of five — one in each borough — that will be free to the public during “NYC Homecoming Week” from Aug. 14 through Aug. 22, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Thursday.

The Queens show will be held on Friday, Aug. 20 at Forest Hills Stadium. Concerts in the Bronx, Staten Island and Brooklyn will be held earlier in the week.

The concerts are being curated by Universal Hip Hop Museum (UHHM) and will feature a range of genres such as hip hop, Latin, freestyle, dance, R&B, techno and funk. The lineups have not yet been announced.

The final concert — which was previously announced — will be in Manhattan on Aug. 21 on the Great Lawn in Central Park. Paul Simon, Jennifer Hudson and Bruce Springsteen are among the musicians who have announced that they will be performing.

“Five iconic extraordinary concerts — one in each borough — the summer of NYC is going to be truly extraordinary,” de Blasio said.

No rock and roll or metal?

Ah, who cares anyway. Pretty sure when more people get infected from Delta, Cuomo will step on the Blaz again and cancel this superspreader.
