Cocktail competition at The Bonnie in Astoria set to bring animated fun to Queens

Astoria’s The Bonnie is stirring up a nostalgic treat as it gears up to host the 13th annual QUEENS CUP on May 13.

This year’s cocktail competition takes a whimsical turn with a “Saturday Morning Cartoons” theme, promising a delightful mix of nostalgia and craft cocktail artistry.

The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. at The Bonnie, located at 29-12 23rd Ave. Serving both as a venue and competitor, The Bonnie aims to ensure that attendees enjoy a night of entertainment and top-notch mixology.

The event is sponsored by El Mayor Tequila, with local support from Alewife Brewing.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite cartoon-themed apparel, join friends and root for their preferred bartenders. The event offers a unique chance to experience the playful chaos of Saturday morning cartoons, but with a cocktail in hand.
