A Brooklyn SUV driver has been arrested for fleeing police in Ridgewood last week and plowing into three people — including a toddler.

Tyshawn Baldwin, 28, appeared before Queens Criminal Court Wednesday charged with assault, reckless endangerment, fleeing police and other crimes for the horrifying Aug. 10 incident that was captured on CCTV.

Baldwin, who was driving a 2021 Dodge Durango, had been pulled over by police at the Wyckoff Avenue and George Street intersection at around 5 p.m. when he hit the gas and fled the scene, the Queens District Attorney’s Office said.

As Baldwin sped away from the police, he struck a 28-year-old woman who was pushing a toddler in a stroller and a 35-year-old man who was unloading a truck.

The woman suffered a knee injury, while her young daughter sustained bruises to her knees and wrists. They were both transported to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The 35-year-old man was taken by EMS to Wyckoff Hospital with a compound leg fracture.

“The complete disregard for public safety in this case is shameful,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said. “Driving is a privilege and every single person who gets behind the wheel of a car bears an individual responsibility to drive safely.”

According to the charges, police observed Baldwin driving the SUV in the area with a loud exhaust and dark rear tinted windows. According to state law, drivers are not permitted to have excessively loud exhausts, while rear windows must allow for at least 70 percent of light to shine through.

Baldwin was stopped by police at the Wyckoff Avenue and George Street intersection, and he was asked for his driver’s license and vehicle registration. He complied.

The cops then ran his information through their computer system that showed that Baldwin’s license had been suspended, prosecutors said.

The police then ordered Baldwin out of the vehicle. At that point, he revved the engine and drove away – striking the three victims, prosecutors said.

Video posted to Twitter shows the SUV plowing into the 28-year-old woman who was pushing the toddler in a stroller across the street. The impact sees the woman thrown across the roadway and into a moving car, while the child falls frighteningly under the SUV.

The SUV then smashes into the delivery worker, sending him flying against a truck.

As the SUV drives forward, the toddler appears in shot crouched in the middle of the road as several screams ring out. The child then gets up while the mother grabs the 2-year-old and runs to the sidewalk.

Amazingly, the SUV does not crush the toddler. The video was posted by @NY_Scoop, a social media page that posts about crime and traffic-related incidents in New York.

Meanwhile, the Durango was discovered abandoned 40 minutes later in Bushwick, Brooklyn, police said.

Baldwin faces a 17-count complaint with some of the other charges consisting of endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration and operating a vehicle without a license.

He was ordered back to court Friday. Baldwin faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
