Cops Investigating the Death of 28-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Ridgewood Apartment

Police discovered 28-year-old Sindy Maharaj dead inside 17-22 Palmetto St. in Ridgewood Saturday (Gmaps)

The police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old woman who cops found dead inside a Ridgewood apartment Saturday.

The NYPD received a call at around 1:30 p.m. Saturday that a woman was in need of help inside 17-22 Palmetto St. Upon arrival, police found the woman to be unconscious and unresponsive with no obvious signs of trauma. EMS declared her dead at the scene.

The woman has been identified as Sindy Maharaj of Staten Island.

The Medical Examiner will determine her cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing.
